Location Highlights
Richmond, Virginia offers access to outdoor recreation and historic districts within a hospital-based assignment setting. Maymont spans 100 acres in the city, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is located about 3 miles from downtown with free general admission. The James River Park System includes more than 600 acres and 25 miles of trails, and Belle Isle sits just south of downtown with pedestrian bridge access. Shenandoah National Park is about 90 miles northwest of Richmond, and Virginia Beach is roughly 110 miles southeast for coastal day trips. Richmond Main Street Station and Interstate 95 provide regional travel connections, and neighborhoods such as Carytown and Scott’s Addition offer dining and entertainment options close to the urban core.
